For years, the earth has been speaking to us through the climate crisis, reminding us that we cannot continue this way. It is time to come to a full stop. To reconnect with the essentials—those things that give meaning to our journey and without which we would not be here.
Flamingos Life was born from a legacy of over 40 years of family craftsmanship, with the conviction that the footwear industry needed more than change; it needed a total transformation. Our path has always been guided by nature, but our vision has matured. We have learned that true responsibility lies in the perfect balance between origin and longevity.
We believe in nature’s intelligence to provide us with everything we need. This means looking both to the harvests of the land and to the resources the world has already generated. Our philosophy has evolved into the Natural Standard: selecting the right material for the right purpose.
By merging plant-based innovation—born from corn, bamboo, and apple—with the enduring strength of recovered materials, we honor the life of every resource. We choose to rescue what would otherwise be discarded, transforming it into something noble that ages with character and stands the test of time.
To us, responsibility is the ultimate form of honesty. We are shifting the conversation from "disposable" to "enduring," because the most ethical way to protect our planet is to create things meant to last.
TRANSPARENCY
UNLOCKING THE HIDDEN TRUTH OF THE FASHION INDUSTRY.
The fashion industry is the second most polluting on the planet and one of the most opaque that exists. Most companies do not share information about the process behind manufacturing their products. This deliberate secrecy affects the entire supply chain: from the CO2 emissions generated while extracting the raw materials, to the way these are transported, to workplace and child labour exploitation, to the end consumers that do not have the tools to make mindful and accurate decisions.
We uphold radical transparency as a fundamental axis of our organisation. Our goal is to unlock the hidden truth of the fashion industry and to make the entire supply chain more democratic.
Thanks to the project developed in collaboration with BCOME, we can confirm that in the production of our last collection we achieve to save over 104.885 m3 of water compared with a pair of conventional sneakers.

The introduction of raw materials, such as corn and bamboo, is crucial to reduce carbon emissions and toxicity. In fact, with our last collection we emitted 194.061 kg less CO2 and 166.515 grams less PO4 compared with a pair of conventional sneakers.
THE RESULTS COLLECTED NOT ONLY ALLOW US TO MAINTAIN TRANSPARENCY AS ONE OF OUR FUNDAMENTAL AXES, BUT ALSO ESTABLISH A STARTING POINT TO KEEP IMPROVING ON OUR ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL COMMITMENT.

MATERIALS
Our aim ever since we founded Flamingos Life has been to provide a responsible alternative to the footwear industry.
We began by questioning the traditional industrial standards that have long dominated the sector. Remaining loyal to our project, our mission has evolved towards the recovery of resources: combining our innovative plant-based materials with high-quality recovered leather. This approach allows us to minimize waste and focus on product longevity, ensuring that the most ethical choice is the one built to last.
CORN WASTE
Corn waste is an innovative, plant-based material that offers a comfortable and responsible solution. This bio-based material has undergone the most demanding quality standards, passing rigorous bending tests that ensure high resistance and long-lasting performance
BAMBOO
Bamboo-based material is used for the lining in several of our collections. It offers exceptional properties as a highly renewable and fast-growing resource that thrives without the need for chemicals or pesticides. In addition to its natural breathability, bamboo’s ability to absorb greenhouse gases makes it a key component in our commitment to responsible manufacturing.
ORGANIC COTTON
Organic cotton is an essential resource used in various components of our sneakers, such as laces and linings. Cultivating cotton organically respects the biodiversity of the land and promotes soil fertility for future cycles. This method prioritizes the health of both the workers and our community, ensuring a process that honors the balance of nature and our commitment to resource integrity.
RECOVERED LEATHER
Recovered leather is a natural material rescued from the food industry to prevent waste. LWG-audited and REACH-compliant, it ensures high environmental standards. We select this material for its exceptional breathability and resistance, adapting like a second skin to provide the character and longevity essential for products built to last.
